May 2021

It's been an exciting month or two in my booth. I've just finished recording a beautiful new book for Simon & Schuster Audio. It's Kristin Harmel's The Forest of Vanishing Stars and it'll be out in July. I love narrating Kristin's books (this is the 4th I've worked on) because she's a beautiful writer, but also because they are all books I would be waiting to read regardless. This one is an inspirational World War II survival story told from the forests of Eastern Europe, and along with maybe my new favorite heroine it had a little German, Hebrew, Yiddish, Polish, and Russian, so I hope I have done it justice.

This coming week is also the first virtual APAC (Audio Publishers Association Conference) and though I am definitely going to be missing the chance to see everyone in person I look forward to touching base with some people online that I haven't seen since 2019. And maybe even meeting some new people. All while taking all my notes from the comfort of home. Next year in New York!
