March 2020 Update
It has been a wonderful, and hard, start to the year. I had an incredible time working at the Asolo Repertory Theatre from January until last week. I was so lucky to be directed by Laura Kepley in George Brant’s beautiful play Into the Breeches, and although our performances were cut short by current events we did have a run, and it was full of joy and heart. I’m sending love to all of the artists and theaters whose shows were cut short, or who won’t get to do their plays at all.
I’m now back in London and back in my home studio. I’ve had a few great books come out this year already. My first title for Dreamscape Audio, Just Once by Lori Handeland, For Love and Country by Candace Waters for Simon & Schuster Audio (a particularly perfect fit while I was working on a show about women in World War II), and The Only Woman in the Photos a book for young readers about Frances Perkins that has inspired me to read her biography.
I’m so grateful that I can continue to tell stories from home for the time being, and I hope everyone is staying as safe and healthy as they can.
